MURRELLS INLET, SC (WBTW) – A woman in Murrells Inlet has figured out a way to help flood victims with jewelry. Cindy Sellers is often better known simply as “Shug.” She is now putting her artistic skills to work making bracelets. She says 100% of the proceeds will go to local flood victims.

More details about the bracelets can be found on the Facebook page Shugs By The Inlet or on a dedicated page of Shug’s website.

Sellers said she wanted to do something that would be her small way of contributing to flood recovery efforts.

“Do something on a small level that is going to be contributing to the bigger greater cause,” Sellers said. “For me I just thought I’m going to give as much as I can, and if I get inundated with millions of orders or whatever that would be great because that means millions of dollars.”

“This [flooding] is so huge. It’s painful. It’s numbing, and a lot of people are probably becoming numb watching TV, and thinking ‘Well, there’s so many people doing so much, what I can do isn’t going to matter. It does matter,” Sellers said.
