A woman was injured by gunfire on Carver Street in Myrtle Beach early Wednesday morning and is expected to recover, police say. 

Cpl. Thomas Vest, with the Myrtle Beach Police Department, confirms a woman was injured by gunfire and transported to the hospital. She is expected to recover. 

Vest also says no arrests have been made, but police are investigating. 

According to a police report, an officer were dispatched to 1403 Carver Street around 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday for a report of shots fired. Other officers were already on scene providing aid to the victim upon the responding officer’s arrival.
