Police seek couple after NC man is shot in head at gas station

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville Police have released surveillance images from a shooting scene in an effort to track down two suspects.

Jasper Lee Artis, 52, was found lying on the sidewalk on the corner of Murchison Road and Shaw Road. Police say he had a gunshot wound to the head. He was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

The incident happened at about 8:15 p.m. Wednesday at the Time Savor store/gas station at 5555 Murchison Road.

Detectives are asking for help in identifying the two people they say are involved in the crime.
