HARTSVILLE, SC (WBTW) – The Darlington County Sheriff’s Office is searching for two men wanted in connection to a shooting that happened just before 3 a.m. on Saturday, June 11th.

Deputies are searching for Christopher Moton, 22, and Levan Joe, 26, both of Manning.  They are wanted in connection for murder, attempted murder, armed robbery and criminal conspiracy, according to deputies.

The Sheriff’s Office previously arrested two suspects in the shooting.

A 31-year-old man from Hartsville died in the shooting. Thursday morning, Darlington County Coroner Todd Hardee identified the man who died as Rondrecus Peterson of Hartsville.

Tuesday morning, the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of Jason Lamont Gadson, 29, of Manning, SC. Online arrest records accessed on Sunday showed Zackery Sanders, 21, of Alcolu, SC, was previously arrested.

Both men are charged with armed robbery and criminal conspiracy. Both were being held at the Darlington County Detention Center on Tuesday morning.

The shooting happened at 1607 Lunn Drive in the Pine Ridge area of Hartsville, according to Darlington County Sheriff Wayne Byrd.  Byrd said the man who died and another man were shot inside a home when they were shot. The second person involved was sent to a local hospital and was listed in critical condition on Saturday.

Sheriff Byrd said the motive of the shooting is likely drug related, but the Darlington County Sheriffs office is still investigating. Additional arrests and charges are forthcoming, Byrd said.
