LADSON, SC – Charleston County Sheriff’s officials say a burgandy Dodge Calibur was stolen with a six- year old child inside Sunday night shortly before 10:30 p.m..
The owners of the car left it running in a driveway with the child inside in the Woodside Subdivision. At some point, the car was reported stolen from the driveway.
Officials say the owners told them the car was stolen by two men. After searching, deputies were able to find the car abandoned on Patriot Boulevard near Palmetto Commerce Parkway with the child inside and unharmed.
Deputies used helicopters and K9 units to search for the suspects but were unable to locate them. The child was safely returned back to relatives.
