CONWAY, S.C. -Early Monday morning officers showed up to the Dollar General on Highway 378 to respond to a business alarm.
When they arrived, they discovered that the business had been burglarized and the front glass door had been forced open.
The front area near the registers was in disarray, the safe was damaged, and store merchandise was all over the floor.
The store was equipped with video surveillance cameras and a review of the footage showed an unknown person entering the store around 4 a.m. wearing jeans, a dark hoodie and gloves.
Officers attempted to process the scene but could not obtain any fingerprints because the suspect was wearing gloves.
The store manager told police that the suspect did manage to get away with money from the safe.
