MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – Horry County Police are searching for a man after he reportedly attacked another man after following him from a Myrtle Beach convenience store in January.

Lieutenant Raul Denis with Horry County Police says officers are searching for a suspect in an assault and robbery that happened January 13 around 11 a.m. at a convenience store on Kings Road in Myrtle Beach. The victim was approached by a woman asking for money, and then her companion, the man pictured in the photo above, demanded more money from the victim, police say.

After walking out of the convenience store, the victim was attacked by the robber, who had followed him out of the store.

Police describe the robber as a black man standing about 5′ 7″ tall, average weight and light complexion. Police say the suspect is believed to be about 20-years-old.
