Police search for missing Sumter woman

SUMTER, S.C. (WBTW)- Sumter Police need the public’s help to find a missing woman.

Officers say 72-year-old Bryne Sumter was last seen Sunday leaving a local hotel. Her daughter reported her missing on Monday.

Officers say Bryne Sumter suffers from dementia and other health issues that require medication. She is known to stay at local hotels and motels, and uses the Santee-Wateree Regional Transportation Authority buses to get around.

She is 5″1′, about 125 pounds, and has black hair and brown eyes.
