MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – The Horry County Police Department has released surveillance photos after a Myrtle Beach McDonald’s fast food restaurant was robbed at gunpoint early Monday morning.
According to a police report, officers responded to an armed robbery call at the McDonald’s restaurant located at 9595 North Kings
Highway in Myrtle Beach around 5 a.m. Monday morning. The employee told officers that when she arrived at the restaurant around 4:50 a.m., a man wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt charged at her as soon as she opened the car door.
Once the suspect and employee were inside the restaurant, the man pointed a gun at the victim and told her to open the safe in the office. The thief removed all the cash from the safe and ran out the backdoor of the building. The victim told police that the thief was a heavy-set black male, standing approximately 6′ to 6’4″, wearing a black mask, gloves and a gray hoodie.
