LITTLE RIVER, SC (WBTW) – A photo has been released of the gunman in a robbery of the Purple Haze Smokeshop in Little River in early March.
Lt. Raul Denis with Horry County Police says an armed man went into the specialty smoke shop, located at 225 E. Hwy 90, around 5:55 p.m. March 3. The store employee told officers he was arranging new merchandise with his back to the door when the robber came in. The thief pointed a black, semi-automatic pistol and demanded money be put into a bag that he brought into the store.
The clerk emptied the cash register into the robber’s bag and the gunman took off. Police did not give information regarding a possible suspect vehicle.
The robber is described as a white man, about six feet tall, weighing approximately 250 pounds. He was wearing blue jeans and a gray sweatshirt during the robbery.
