MARION, SC (WBTW) – Police say one person was hurt after someone fired a gun in Marion late Friday afternoon.
 

Marion Police Acting Chief Tony Flowers says the incident happened in the 200-block of Pickens Street. He told News13 a group of people were gathered to “fight,” when some of them took off from the area running.

Flowers says that’s when someone fired a gun, striking a man in the shoulder. His injuries are not life-threatening, according to authorities. The victim was transported to Carolinas Hospital in Mullins.

Flowers added his detectives are not getting much cooperation in the investigation.

No word on a possible suspect.
