CONWAY, SC (WBTW) – Horry County Police have named the man they say robbed the Conway National Bank Monday morning.
According to Lt. Raul Denis with Horry County Police, officers responded to Conway National Bank, located at 1360 US-501, for a robbery alarm around 10:30 a.m. Monday.
The police report was heavily redacted, but says the suspect walked into the bank and handed the victim a note that stated “this is a robbery.”
The victim reportedly did what the suspect asked, and the robber left. The report confirms the bank was immediately placed on lock down and protocol was followed.
Police have identified the robbery suspect as Brian Wilson Humphreys, Jr., 35, of Myrtle Beach. Humphreys is described as a white man, about 5′ 9″ tall, weighing roughly 150 pounds, and has tattoos on his neck. Police believe Humphreys could be driving a stolen truck, a white 2005 Dodge Ram 2500, with a toolbox and ladder rack that Humphreys may have removed.
The department reports on its Twitter account that no injuries were reported in the robbery. A photo from the robbery, as well as a picture of Humphreys, was released by Horry County Police. Anyone with information on Humphreys’ location should call (843) 915-5350.
