Police: man shoots stepson after arguing over yard work

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (AP) – An argument between a man and his 20-year-old stepson over lawn maintenance led to a shooting in Fayetteville.

A police spokesman told The Fayetteville Observer
 that 62-year-old Wilbert Lawrence Faison shot Winston Adams in the back Tuesday afternoon. Police say Adams was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where he is listed in fair condition.

Faison was taken to jail and charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury. It is unclear if he has a lawyer.
