CONWAY, SC (WBTW) – Conway Police search for a person they say robbed a man at gunpoint and shot him in the foot.

According to a Conway Police Department report, officers were dispatched to 1527 4th Avenue early Sunday morning for an indecent exposure complaint. Upon arrival, officers found a man in front of the building with no clothes on.

The report states the man told officers someone robbed him at gunpoint, took all of his clothes and then shot him in the right foot.

Conway Police say the victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Sgt. Darren Alston, spokesman for the Conway Police Department, tells News13 the suspect is only described as being 17 to 35 years of age. The report did not specify whether the suspect was a man or woman. No further information on the suspect’s description was provided to News13 at the time of this report.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Conway Police. The case remains under investigation.
