Police locate 2 in connection to weekend collision, shooting incident in Florence

FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – Florence police say they have identified two people in connection to a car crash and shooting reported Sunday night in Florence.

According to Lt. Mike Brandt with the Florence Police Department, there were only minor injuries related to the crash and no injuries reported in relation to the shooting. No charges have been filed yet, but the incident is still under investigation, police say.

Brandt says police received a shots fired call around 6 p.m. Sunday night and upon arrival to Church Street and National Cemetery Road,  officers say a single car was damaged and had been abandoned. The car had visible signs that it struck a light pole, officers say.
