MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW)- Myrtle Beach detectives responded to the Compass Cove Resort for the second time this weekend after a report of shots fired.
Detectives say there was an attempted robbery that happened around 7:00 Sunday morning at the Compass Cove Resort. Authorities say it happened on the second floor on a balcony.
According to Lt. Joey Crosby, the victim reported that he came out of his room and was approached by the suspect. The suspect presented a gun and demanded the victim’s money.
Police say the victim fled to his room and the suspect fired a shot while fleeing the scene.
One shot was fired and no one was injured.
