The Florence Police Department identified a man wanted in connection to the death of a Tennessee man.
Lt. Mike Brandt, spokesman for the department, says an arrest warrant for a murder charge was issued for Elias Ayuzo Soriano after he was identified through surveillance photos. Soriano is wanted in connection to the murder of Juan Carlos Mendoza Zurita, according to Brandt.
Florence police officers were called to the 1600-block of Dexter Avenue shortly after 11 a.m. Sunday for reports of a deceased person. The Florence County coroner says Zurita, 23, of Tennessee, died from multiple stab wounds.
