GEORGETOWN, SC (WBTW) – Georgetown Police have made an arrest in the brutal attack of a man in early March. Attempted murder charges have been filed against Dyondre Paul Elliott.

In a release from the Georgetown Police Department, officers state Elliott, 22, of Georgetown, is charged with attempted murder in the attack of another man in the early morning hours of March 2.

Officers say Elliott attacked the victim at a home on Prince Street by stabbing and slashing the man’s throat.

Elliott surrendered himself to police Thursday afternoon and has been booked into the Georgetown County Detention Center where no bail has been set, according to online booking records.
