COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) – Police say officers found a body in the trunk of a car near Columbia College.
Chief Skip Holbrook told local media outlets that officers received a tip to search a neighborhood off North Main Street, and one officer who noticed a stench coming from a vehicle found the body about 10:45 a.m. Thursday.
The car was parked a block south of the private women’s college.
Holbrook did not give any further details.
Other schools less than a mile away are Eau Claire High School, Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary and W.L. Bonner College.
