FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – Officers were searching the area around South McQueen Street Wednesday after a person was robbed by an armed man.
Lt. Mike Brandt with the Florence Police Department confirms the armed robbery reportedly happened around 1:25 p.m. in the 300 Block of S. McQueen Street.
Police were told the gunman had a handgun and was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, black shirt and khaki pants.
Major Mike Nunn with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office confirms deputies were also on scene assisting city police.
Investigators also deployed the sheriff’s office K9 team, but police say they were unable to find the suspect.
