Police: Person detained after ‘active incident’ near Punk Road in Little River

LITTLE RIVER, SC (WBTW) – A person has been detained following an “active incident” near Punk Road in Little River, according to police.

As of 4:20 p.m., there is no threat to the community, police said. Horry County police remain on the scene and ask people to “please use caution if you are traveling in the area.”

At about 3:15 p.m. today, the Horry County Police Department tweeted out a notice to “Please avoid the area.” The tweet mentioned an active incident.
