CONWAY (WBTW) – The Horry County Police Department wants to speak with anyone who knew or may have seen a homicide victim during the week leading up to his death.

The Horry County Coroner’s Office says a 31-year-old Conway man was found lying in the road with multiple gunshot wounds late Saturday night.

According to Horry County Deputy Coroner Tony Hendrick, the victim is Jason Bradley Smith. Smith was found in the middle of Johnson Shelly Road just before midnight Saturday night. Smith was pronounced dead at the scene, adds Hendrick.

Horry County Police ask that anyone who knew Smith or had seen him in the last week to call the Horry County Police Tip Line at 843-915-8477 or 843-915-TIPS. Police released a photo of Smith on the department’s Facebook page.

The Horry County Police Department is investigating Smith’s death as a homicide, but officers have not released any information related to the crime or suspects who may be involved.
