LAKE CITY, SC (WBTW) – The Lake City Police Department has made an arrest in a Lake City shooting that killed one and injured another Thursday night.
Officer Amy Pringle, spokeswoman for the department, says the shooting happened at a home on Samuel Street around 8 p.m. Initial reports said two men were hurt in the shooting. An update from Pringle early Friday morning said one of the men died at a local hospital.
Florence County Coroner Keith von Lutcken identifies the victim as Roger Brennan, 75, of Lake City.
Pringle said Deonandre Jaquez Wright, 18, has been arrested in connection to the shooting. He was wanted for murder, attempted murder, armed robbery and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.
The Florence County Sheriff’s Office and SLED are assisting the Lake City Police Department in the investigation.
