Police arrest man accused of robbing Florence Subway

FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – Florence police they arrested the man who allegedly robbed a Subway restaurant Wednesday evening.

According to the press release, Michael Ray Allen Jr. was located in a motel room near US 52 and I-95 and arrested by police and officers with SLED.

Lt. Mike Brandt with the Florence Police Department says officers were called to a robbery at the Subway on East Palmetto Street at 7:04 p.m.

Officers say the man entered the restaurant on March 2, and demanded money from the register. After taking the money, he was last seen traveling east on Palmetto Street in a white Volkswagen Jetta.

Brandt says the suspect face an armed robbery charge and will have a bond hearing Thursday.
