The Ohio’s Bureau of Criminal Investigation confirms it is sending more than a dozen agents to help in the investigating at the request of local law enforcement. Agents include members of Criminal Intelligence, Cyber Crimes and Special Investigations. The BCI says they are not aware of any arrests or any active shooter investigation.
The Pike County prosecutor is also on location. Western Local Schools, including Peebles High School, are on a semi-lock down due to the investigation. That means no students are allowed outside and doors are locked. Waverly City Schools were on a similar lockdown, but that lock down is now lifted.
