SPARTANBURG, SC (WSPA) – A distracted driver crashed her truck into an electric pole Wednesday afternoon on Camelot Drive, according to Spartanburg Police.
Officers say the woman was looking down at her phone when an electric truck slowed in front of her near Reidville Road. The driver’s truck hit the pole which went through the windshield.
The driver was taken to the hospital with a small gash to her head but is expected to be okay. Police say if the pole had been a foot closer, it would have been a lot worse.
