A student’s uncle who was outraged after seeing the note posted it on Facebook.
The note allows parents to check a box that would excuse their child from reciting the Pledge of Allegiance in school.
Micah Brienen posted the waiver on his Facebook page Monday and now it has over 24,000 shares.
According to Snopes, students in Florida have had the right to opt out reciting the Pledge since at least 2000.
