NEW BERN, NC (WBTW) – A stunt plane crashed in North Carolina Saturday. Emergency officials in New Bern say the plane crashed into the Neuse River. The pilot ejected before the crash and was not seriously injured.

The wreck happened just after takeoff from the Coastal Carolina Regional Airport. Officials say something went wrong causing the plane to spiral into the river.

The plane is still in the river now, authorities say it doesn’t pose a threat.
