HARTSVILLE, SC (WBTW) – One man was shot in an armed robbery at an apartment complex on Washington Street in Hartsville late Sunday evening.
The shooting happened at Palmetto Apartments. According to Lt. Mark Blair, with the Hartsville Police Department, the suspect fled on foot.
The man shot was a Pizza Hut delivery driver and was shot during an armed robbery while delivering food. Lt. Blair said he was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Investigators interviewed the victim on Monday about the incident. Police has yet to release the suspect’s identity. He is still at large.
Some residents of the Palmetto Apartments told News13 they fear for their safety.
“There are people out here doing so many bad things. You don’t have no other reason but to feel jittery or upset especially when the suspect is at large,” said Willie Outen.
