RALEIGH – Coastal Carolina did not get the opportunity to host an NCAA regional like many expected, but the Chanticleers hope to overcome that to reach the Super Regionals.
The Chanticleers open Friday at 2 p.m. against St. Mary’s, who is making its first appearance in the college baseball tournament. Coastal Carolina is in its 14th.
The pitching matchup will feature two All-Americans – Andrew Beckwith (10-1) for Coastal, Corbin Burnes (9-1) for St. Mary’s.
