Pelicans use big inning to beat Carolina

MYRTLE BEACH – Myrtle Beach scored three runs in the sixth inning en route to a 4-1 win over Carolina in the final game of a six-game series Sunday.

Mark Zagunis homered and Jacob Rogers hit a two-run double in the inning to give the Pelicans a 3-1 lead. Myrtle Beach added another run on a error in the seventh.

The Pelicans scored four runs despite getting just five hits in the game. They open a four-game road trip at Frederick Monday.
