SoulShine yoga aims to help different organizations around the community.
“Here at SoulShine we really strive to create that community connection. To be able to extend that out beyond our four walls to the community is a huge honor,” said owner of SoulShine, Belinthia Elder.
This month SoulShine hosted an outdoor flow donation class to raise money for one special organization.
“We happen to have a special affinity for Lucky Dog because they do try to save the animals especially those that have to get euthanize, so we couldn’t think of a better one to start with,” said Elder.
For the last nine years, Lucky Dog looked for new ways to find a forever home for each furry friend.
“The organization itself is based in D.C. and we transport animals up there every two weeks that come from Florence County environmental services,” said South Carolina coordinator for Lucky Dog, Stephanie Moore.
Just last year the organization was able to save close to 1500 animals.
“After the animals are vaccinated, vetted, and have health certificates, they get there ticket to ride every two weeks to Washington where a lot of them are met by adopters right off the van, or they go into a foster home until they’ve been adopted up there,” said Moore.
