HARTSVILLE, SC (WBTW) – One person died and five people were transported to the hospital after a crash Wednesday night.
According to South Carolina Highway Patrol, the crash happened at 9:35 p.m. on SC Hwy 102 near Antioch Road, just outside Hartsville.
Three vehicles were involved in the crash. A Chevy Blazer was traveling north and crossed the center line and side swept a Pontiac. The Chevy Blazer then hit a Jeep head on.
The driver of the Chevy Blazer died on scene. Darlington County Coroner Todd Hardee identifies the victim as Amanda Hekking, 36, of Darlington County.
Four people in the Jeep and the driver of the Pontiac were transported to the hospital. We do not know their condition at this time.
South Carolina Highway Patrol says no charges will be filed.
