Temperatures all across the Pee Dee have dropped to the mid 30’s.
Sunday morning people geared up with winter jackets, sweaters, and rain boots as the winter storm made its way through the Carolinas.
The heavy rain was a major concern for residents, as showers dumped several inches of water in their front yard and on the streets.
SCDOT warns people to not speed and take caution when driving down wet roads. One resident says it usually takes him 30 minutes to get to work but due to the heavy rain Sunday morning it was impossible to make it on time.
“It’s been bad. I drive a Lexus, which is a little sedan and I don’t even feel like it was built for these roads out here. It was pretty rough,” said Julian Graves.
SCDOT also suggest drivers should watch out for fallen trees or debris.
