FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – A tractor-trailer driver was cited for a crash Wednesday morning that sent two people to the hospital and damaged a fence.
Lt. Mike Brandt with the Florence Police Department says officers were called to James Jones Avenue and Church Street around 8:39 a.m. Wednesday after an 18-wheeler collided with a car and then crashed into a tree.
The tractor-trailer was traveling south on Church Street, according to Lt. Brandt, and disregarded the traffic light, hitting a car and damaging a fence. Two people were taken to the hospital, but their conditions are unknown at this time.
The truck driver, whose name was unavailable at the time of this post, was cited for disregarding a traffic signal.
