The Florence community deals with another loss, three weeks after seven law enforcement officers were shot at a home in Florence’s Vintage Place neighborhood on October 3.
According to Florence County Coroner Keith von Lutcken, Turner died on Monday.
“To us Farrah is more than just an officer, Farrah is a sister, Farrah is family,” said friend of Farrah Tuner, Anna Boone.
Friends and family now mourn the loss of Florence County investigator Farrah Turner.
“Always had a tremendous smile, never had a dull moment. Turner had a charisma that was carried out throughout the office,” said Boone.
On Wednesday, community members gathered hand in hand to say a prayer and share great memories they had with Turner.
“We actually have a small group called the lunch bunch, and we would have lunch dates about four times a week,” said Boone.
The FCSO patrol vehicle was on display at the Florence Judicial Center as a memorial for Turner, dozens of people placed balloons, flowers and messages.
“She will be missed tremendously through the department, through all law enforcement, and especially in our family,” said Boone.
A funeral will be held for fallen Florence County investigator Farrah Turner on Sunday at the Florence Center starting at noon.
