TIMMONSVILLE, SC – During Black History Month the Baker Memorial Library in Timmonsville will host “Bet You Can’t Eat Just One!,” a celebration of the innovation and accomplishments of African-Americans.
Sources credit African-American chef George Crum with creating the potato chip in Saratoga, New York, in the mid-1800s. We will remember that legacy by learning about Crum and how potato chips are made today. Most importantly, attendees will have the opportunity to taste-test and rate potato chips.
The event will be from 5:45 p.m.-6:15 p.m. on Tuesday, February 20, 2018. This free event is open to children from preschool to 6th grade and their guardians. For additional information about this and other events call the Baker Memorial Library at 843-346-2941.
