The annual Pee Dee spring festival officially opened their doors on Friday outside the Florence center.

We’re super excited about coming to the spring carnival. We drove by yesterday and my daughter really wants to go on the ride, so that’s why we’re here, said Jessica Atkinson.

People got the chance to enjoy food and rides, and this is exactly what families around the area look forward to.

Admission is free. You just have to buy ride tickets, and the food and games, but there’s not an admission charge, said manager of the greater Pee Dee state fair, Hubert Bullard.

Management tells News13 that keeping the carnival affordable has always been their top priority for families.

If you’re not a person who likes ride, come out and see the things that are going on. Watch the games, play, and eat great food, said manager for the Florence Center, Paul Beard.

The carnival will end April 7.
