The Robeson Regional Agricultural fair is back for its 72 year and they added a special treat for students.
“Lumberton has been devastated along with other communities in our area,” said Coble Wilson, Spokesperson Robeson Regional Agricultural Fair.
The Robeson Regional Agricultural Fair had originally planned to open their doors on September 27, but due to the road closures all across the region, fair crews decided to postpone the dates.
“People have lost a lot, some people have lost everything and we pray for those families that have lost everything,” said Wilson.
This year, the fair wants to give back to the community, especially to the students.
“We’ve made a decision to honor any school child age that comes to the fair, free admission,” said Wilson.
Students will be receiving a coupon at the front gate on Tuesday and Wednesday. You can enjoy rides, exhibits, animal shows, an antique tractor pull and more all included in your gate admission.
“We’re just sorry there’s been so much devastation, but we still fell like there’s a lot of people that need to come out and have some fun,” said Wilson.
Vendors from other states said Hurricane Florence, didn’t stop them from coming.
“We we ready. We were on stanby and we kept in communication with Mr. Wilson. Obviously it was postponed for a couple of days, but we were ready when they were,” said a vendor from Florida, Deborah Lurie.
Gate admission remains the same low $7 to get in, and $22 for an unlimited ride band. You can also purchase tickets by clicking here for special online savings.
