Johnny Davis in Hartsville celebrated a special birthday Saturday afternoon .

“It’s just amazing. It’s exciting and everybody just came today from all over to celebrate my dad, and that’s a blessing,” said Dianne Rogers.

Dozens of family members flew in from all over the country to be apart of Johnny’s special day, “They’re coming from everywhere. From Florida, New York, Virginia, Charlotte, Columbia and other different places,” said Rogers.

Johnny celebrated 100 years-old at Shoney’s with nearly fifty family members, including his children, grandchildren and even great grand kids.

“It makes me feel good. I have something to look forward to. Everybody in this room has a testimony or a story where grandad came and is our superhero. If they’re blood related or not, they all have a story about him. He’s just that type of man that he spreads love more than anything,” said grandchild Michelle Davis.

News 13 asked Johnny what’s the secret to live to be to 100 years-old and his response, “Plan, patience, and love,” said Davis.

Johnny hopes to keep this tradition with all his family members and continue to spread love.
