FLORENCE, SC – A free parent support group to discuss the recent acts of violence in our nation’s schools will be held Sunday, March 11 in  Darlington.   The Counseling Center of Florence and Darlington Presbyterian Church are hosting the event.  Organizers say, “It’s geared to help parents help their children cope with the onslaught of violence to which children are being exposed through the media reports.” 

The title of the support group meeting is called “Helping Children Cope with Violence in the Media: A Guide for Parents.”   The meeting is from 5:30 p.m. – 7 p.m .at Darlington Presbyterian Church in the McCown Building.
