A subject wanted by the Darlington Police Department after an attempted child abduction has been identified. 

In a Facebook post on Friday morning, the DPD announced the person has been identified thanks to the public’s help. 

“The Darlington Police Department would like to thank everyone for the information that helped to identify the person who was in the area of Walmart’s possible child abduction that happened on 12/5/2018,” says the post. 

According to a press release from Darlington police, the attempted abduction took place at the Walmart on Andover Place on Wednesday around 3 p.m. Police wanted to talk to the man pictured above, who was in the area when the incident took place. Police also said he is not considered a suspect.
