Scoreboard unveiled in honor of Hannah Skipper

A family turning a tragedy into a field of dreams after Hannah Skipper was killed during a multi-vehicle crash back in September 2018.

The Skipper family honored their daughter in ways she would’ve wanted.

During Saturday’s event, hundreds of people were in attendance as they unveil the new scoreboard at West Florence high school for Hannah Skipper.

“So heartwarming to see these people come out here and support her but we’re really not surprised that was her personality. I tell people she had a million dollar personality,” said former coach Ranch Locklair.

It was a day filled with tears and happy smiles all across the softball field. Many overwhelmed with the amount of support from the community.

“She makes me feel like a better person. I mean I wish she was here today so we can enjoy with her, but she’s still here,” said her teammates.

The West Florence team remembered the memories they shared together on and off the field. “Yeah, bus rides were the best. Hannah kept us hyped, very positive, and always said great things. She never brought us down,” said her teammates.
