The South Carolina Department of Transportation has closed sections of Highway 9 in Marion County due to flooding ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday.
“We have water on the roadways in the Britton’s Neck/Gresham area. Highway 9 near Bear Pond Road has standing water as well as Treadway Road,” the Marion County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post. “SCDOT has closed sections of Highway 9 so please use an alternate route. Highway 9 at Highway 378 is open to local traffic only. Please use caution in this area.”
