A bridge in Darlington County has been closed for structural problems.
Lauren Rountree, with the South Carolina Department of Transportation, says the bridge over Black Creek on Trailwood Drive outside Hartsville has been closed due to “deterioration of the bridge support structure.”
“Structural issues” were found during an inspection of the bridge on Wednesday, according to Rountree.
Rountree also says a completion date for repairs is unknown.
Traffic will be detoured along W. Carolina Avenue (SC-151 Business), W. Bobo Newsom Highway (SC-151), New Market Road (SC-39), and Golf Course Road (SC-362).
