COWARD, SC (WBTW) – Florence County deputies searched for a robber who shot a store clerk at “Rob’s ABC” store on U.S. Highway 52 near Coward on Wednesday night.
The robber entered the store at approximately 7 p.m. and demanded money. After a struggle, deputies said the robber shot the store clerk.
The sheriff’s office only said the clerk was taken to the hospital. Their condition wasn’t released.
Deputies believe the robber took off in a white four-door vehicle that headed south on U.S. 52 toward Coward. The suspect has a cut across his head and neck, deputies said.
