WBTW News13 crews out in the Pee Dee area found members of the Red Cross giving out meals to people in Clio on Wednesday.
Red Cross members were out serving hamburgers, peaches, and chips.
Clio’s mayor said the Red Cross’ help goes a long way.
“But, this is a great help just to be, relieved today, and not worry about a meal today. And, to know that they can go out and get food later on to start refilling their refrigerator, but today they need some help,” says Joe Kinney, the mayor of Clio.
The food was provided by the Red Cross kitchen in Florence.
