The American Red Cross helped storm victims in Mullins on Tuesday by handing out cleaning supplies.
People were able to pick up “clean-up kits,” which came with items such as gloves, bleach, a mop, broom, trash bags, masks, rakes, and bottled water.
WBTW News13 found the Mullins High School football coach there on Tuesday.
“We’ve got some players that are displaced and have lost their houses to floods, but still they come out here anyway showing that we can overcome this, you know. Even though a lot of us are down and out right now, but it’s going to get better,” said John Williams, Mullins High School football coach.
The distribution took place at Habitat for Humanity off Highway 76 until 6 p.m. The Red Cross will hand out more supplies at the same location on Wednesday from 2 to 6 p.m.
