DARLINGTON, SC (WBTW) – A car hit and killed a person on a bicycle Sunday night in Darlington County, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Corporal Sonny Collins said the car was traveling north on Hoffmeyer Rd. when it hit the bicyclist around 9 p.m. The person on the bicycle was attempting to cross the road, Collins said.
No charged are expected, according to Collins.
He did not provide a more specific location on Hoffmeyer Rd. The coroner’s office has not yet released the name of the person who died.
