People in line at Florence Chick-fil-A for free food for a year

FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – Dedicated Chick-fil-A fans are already lining the sidewalk of the Florence restaurant scheduled to reopen Thursday morning.

Why are they so excited about Thursday’s grand opening? As one of the first 100 guests, these campers are promised free Chick-fil-A for an entire year.

Exactly 24 years after first opening its doors and two months after closing to finish a complete rebuild, the Chick-fil-A restaurant at 2705 David H. McLeod Blvd. will reopen Thursday at 6 a.m.

Veteran Operator Blake Pate and his team will celebrate by offering the chance for 100 adults to win free Chick-fil-A meals for a year, as well as the opportunity for the community to donate children’s books for local nonprofit organization.

The restaurant, which was previously a drive-thru only location, now has a spacious dining room and two-story play area. The restaurant’s drive-thru has been enhanced with dual-ordering stations installed.

Along with Pate’s returning leadership team and team members, an additional 37 employees have been hired. Currently, a total of 105 employees will be working at the restaurant, but Pate is always looking for great people to be a part of the West Florence Chick-fil-A team, the press release states.
